Lester and Cooper

Lester Churchill, MSc

Lester Churchill holds a Master of Science Degree in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Washington State University, where he graduated with honors from both institutions. He is a master practitioner of Neurolinguistic Programming under Kane Ramsey and graduated in the top 1% of his cohort at the prestigious Hypnotherapy Academy of America. His noteworthy contributions to the mind sciences are several innovative mind-brain models, a lifespan treatment model for ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder, innovative assessment techniques for the NEO-PI-IV and the COPE Inventory, Hypnotherapy for the Deaf©, and a revolutionary Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) called MATISH: Mindful Acceptance Techniques Incorporating Self-Hypnosis©™. He has also consulted with a sitting U.S. president to begin solving the problem of unprovoked violence against and by members of law enforcement.

During the completion of his graduate work in psychology, Lester’s beloved companion Cooper- with him in the photo- passed away from Pancreatic Cancer at 12 ½ years old on July 17, 2024. Cooper touched noses with Lester and licked his face just before he passed away in Lester’s lap, surrounded by the love he had known his entire life. Cooper’s passing challenged Lester’s perspective and attitude as he explored the depths of his grief, the nature of unconditional love and commitment, the importance of gratitude, and the deeper truths of MATISH.

When not teaching online seminars in human performance, consulting individuals toward achieving their dreams, consulting with companies about the finer points of leadership and productivity in the workplace,  or hosting his live human performance master class events, writing and publishing books on self-transformation and social issues, doting on his daughter and grandchildren, or flying remote control aircraft, Lester teaches classes in Jinhwa Taekkyon, Wing Chun, Contemporary Jeet Kune Do, the Filipino martial arts, and Dim Mak in southwest Idaho, southeast Washington, and southeast Texas. He teaches from the instruction lineages of Daniel D. Pecaro, Paul Vunak, Barry Jenkins, Sr., and various instructors in Dim Mak.
